Established in 2009, we’re a private family foundation located in the lower mainland of British Columbia. Our foundation’s work spans health and wellbeing services, community ministry, arts and education, animal welfare and philanthropy. Ultimately, we’re one family working together for one dream.
As a foundation, we ensure a common direction and purpose- to create the greatest outcomes for the people, organisations and communities we serve. Each one of us is a Director, who champions an unique not-for-profit focus inspired by our individual philanthropic passions. That’s why we have variety, passion and heart in all that we do. We all focus on ensuring our donations give wings to the inspiring new ideas, projects, campaigns and possibilities our not-for-profit partners embark upon.
The Shewan Foundation is not like other organisations. We don’t seek fame nor are we after headlines or awards. But we care intently. We care about the community, people and animals facing challenges in the lower mainland, every day, everywhere. That’s why you won’t find a mission statement. Instead our shared dream to simply give to those in need. Over the last six years, we have donated close to one hundred thousand across community minded projects, education scholarships, animal medical funds, housing facilities and hospital services plus plenty more inspiring enterprises . For us our dream is why we do the things we do. It’s our vision, our destiny, that great big reason for belonging.
We love what we do and have realized the amazing and limitless possibilities that are abound when we come together as family – as one. We may have reached a one hundred thousand milestone, but our dream is blue skies.
